BRIEF

Yoru No Hikari is an original manga series built around solitude, the search for one's own path in life, and the tension between a person's darker and lighter sides along the way. For this cover, my goal was to establish the series' visual identity from the very first issue and to capture the emotional weight of the story in a single frame.

WHAT I DID

I developed a dark, warm-toned palette to evoke the heaviness of night without losing its warmth. I placed the character at the intersection of shadow and light and built the entire composition to pull the viewer into the emotional core of the story before a single

page is read. From the illustration to the atmosphere, everything was shaped in my

own visual language.

RESULT

With this, the cover aims to communicate the story's emotion before the book is even opened through its contrast-driven palette, while its atmospheric composition brings the character's inner world to the front. My intention was to build a visual identity that feels both familiar to the genre and distinctly my own , placing the series in a recognizable spot within the manga aesthetic.
