BRIEF

Gera is the concept for an AI-supported mobile application that teaches the history of graphic design through an interactive, personalised experience. Rather than presenting design history as a purely chronological timeline, the goal was to turn it into a cultural, exploratory experience — built around interactive content, a virtual museum, blogs, mentorship, competitions, and AI-driven recommendations. Developed as my graduation project, it required a complete brand identity and a full UI/UX system capable of carrying this vision across every screen.

WHAT I DID

I developed Gera end to end — from its conceptual foundation and research to its full visual identity and interface design. The brand system was built around a modern reinterpretation of the letter "G," paired with the geometric Aeonik typeface and a palette drawn from design history: cream, red, and navy, supported by gold, copper, and burgundy tones. I produced a comprehensive brand guideline covering the logo, typography, colour, usage rules, and co-branding, then extended the system into print products and outdoor, social media, and in-app applications. The interface itself was designed in Adobe XD as an interactive prototype, structured around modules like Explore, the Virtual Museum, interactive questions, Blog, Mentor, and Competitions — with usability tests guiding the final revisions.

RESULT

Gera came together as a cohesive, scalable platform that reframes graphic design history as something to be experienced rather than passively read.

Anchored in a distinctive identity and a user-centred interface, the project translates an academic subject into an accessible, engaging mobile experience tailored to its audience. By combining a focused subject area, AI-supported personalisation, and gamified, interactive learning, it demonstrates a complete design system carried consistently from brand mark to working interface.
