Cover and inner page design for The Little Red Riding Hood — a reimagination of the classic tale targeting a young and pre-teen audience, balancing the story's timeless narrative with a visual language suited to an older childhood readership.

WHAT I DID

Developed a warm, nostalgic color palette that references the fairy tale's emotional roots while speaking to a more mature young audience. Key iconic elements of the story — the girl, the wolf, the forest — were reinterpreted through a distinct illustration style that softens sharp lines into fluid, expressive strokes, establishing a cohesive visual language across both cover and inner pages. Select interior spreads were used to bring pivotal story moments to life, reinforcing the narrative through visual storytelling rather than decoration alone.

RESULT

The design successfully bridged the gap between classic fairy tale aesthetics and a contemporary pre-teen sensibility. The illustration style gave the project a distinctive identity, making familiar characters feel freshly interpreted while remaining true to the story's atmosphere.
